review 1: Sadly, not as much fun as the original. We missed the farm animals -- the city vehicles just seemed so grumpy and not enjoyable. The message which was cute and more effortless in the first just seems repetitive and a bit heavy-handed here. Also my little one did not seem to enjoy this one even though he loves the original. Let's hope for a third book that gets back some of the charm of the original :-)
review 2: Little Blue Truck goes on another adventure, but this time he is on his way to the big city. When he gets there he finds that it is not everything he thought it was going to be. Blue runs into a few problems throughout the day. Blue sees that the cars in the city are always pushing, rushing, and being rude to one another. In the end, Little Blue rucks... more Tmakes a difference and changes the ways of the city with just one piece of advice. This book is meant for children in the preschool and kindergarden age range. It could be used for first graders depending on the topics being covered.This book is a good fit for younger children because they can connect with the situations and also the main character. The book is easy to read and understand, but also very entertaining. I would use this book in my class when learning about the aspects of being a good citizen. Especially with this when the the idea behind the story is slowing down and taking turns. I would also pull this book into my curriculum when talking about diversity and differences. less
