review 1: Loved this book. I have read all of Allison's books and have always wanted more. This one did not disappoint. I love how there were three different things going on, but yet they managed to all get together for Christmas. I loved how we were about to catch up with characters from many books ago. I have always loved how she writes and its always with-in the circle. I feel like I know all of her characters:)
review 2: I'm a huge Allison Brennan fan and have read her entire backlist. She does dark romantic suspense like none other, and I love her Lucy Kincaid series. COLD SNAP is primarily fan service: a Christmas story that brings all the Kincaids together so we can catch up on their lives (since the focus is now almost exclusively on Lucy), but it does nothing to
... more really move Lucy's story along. Lucy's life is at that somewhat awkward transition stage as she goes from being a New Agent in Training at Quantico to a rookie field Agent in San Antonio, and COLD SNAP is the filler executed with Ms. Brennan's trademark skill. It's an interesting setup, with three simultaneous and converging storylines, heavier on the suspense and lighter on the romance than the previous entries in the series. Great for existing series fans (and Patrick lovers), but definitely not a standalone for newbies. But if you're an Allison Brennan or Lucy Kincaid newbie, you're definitely missing out! less
