review 1: A paranormal romance about protecting others, finding out who you are, self-control, discovering your potential, and friendship. I enjoyed the world-building, humor, and explosion-filled plot, the interesting characters, and the sweet romance. I laughed at the giant duck and enjoyed Alice, master of movie star disguises. Rio is charming. Luke is funny, not a smooth talker, and blows things up to relieve stress. I loved it when Luke says: "You were hurting, and I wanted to help, but I didn't know how, so I blew something up."
review 2: What a fun adventure! Luke & Rio make a great team, and they even have an adorable fox sidekick! An adorable, MAGICAL fox sidekick! : ) If you've read AD's Atlantis series, you'll understand when I say, Luke & Rio's relationsh... moreip is kinda how I imagine Aleric & Quinn would be if they weren't so broody. I'm really looking forward to this series of Luke & Rio being a TEAM & (hopefully) discovering the ways they can bring Bordertown together. This was just a lot of fun to read! less
