review 1: I enjoyed reading this book but I am not sure it was as good as the first book. It felt a little slow to get going and there were 2 murders. We got going on one and then broke off for a seperate case. This caused a little discord in the flow of the bok for me. All that said this main character is always a fun read so you can read this series when you are busy. I will continue reading these books when I need something light yet dark.
review 2: Nice follow up. While the book could use a competent editor("perspective buyers" could be ironic, i suppose but in context it didn't seem so) the characters are interesting, likeable and the mysteries solid enough. I daresay Keye Street is the only Southern, recovering alcoholic, Asian-American, former FBI profiler P.I.
... more in fiction. If that sounds like a pretty specific subtype, it certainly is but she is also funny, driven. loyal and a pet lover. Pick these up, you'll like them less
