review 1: About 2.5 stars. This story was okay. While I liked Callum, I found that Sinclair was a bit of a strange bird. He's depicted as a badass former merc and his over possessiveness is all alpha male (and a bit annoying). But then he also disgustingly shmoopy with Callum which just doesn't feel legit to me. All the honeys and the endearments just feel strange. A badass merc saying "Poor dear"? What is he an 80 year old granny? There were a lot of editing errors. I can usually gloss over them, but a couple of times the author mistakenly uses the wrong names. The writing was a bit choppier than Amber Kell's usual books.
review 2: This is a nice story with lovely characters BUT it is far too short. I don't just mean in word length either. The speed of the relati
... moreonship was too rushed to be believable. I would probably read a sequel if it were available but if that were as rushed & under-developed then I would have to avoid further books. I get really upset when characters are short-changed with a too-short story. I would really like to see this story re-written with enough time given to a natural & leisurely relationship development. less
