review 1: This is a sweet short, starting on Christmas Eve, about a middle aged man who realizes that he's in love with his younger roommate after the roommate moves out to live with another man. He sits alone by his Christmas tree, moping, until the ex-roommate comes back distraught because his new lover has beaten him up. They realize they have both actually loved each other for years, they have a blowjob, the older man punches the abusive lover on Christmas morning, and they all live happily ever after. ;-)
review 2: Frankie is a twenty something art student who moves out of Xavier's house him a chance to meet somebody. He's been in love with Xavier for three years but thinks that his feelings are not reciprocated. Xavier regrets not telling Frankie how he feels and n... moreow finds himself drinking alone at Christmas, until Frankie calls asking to come back home.This was a sweet holiday story about new beginnings. I enjoyed the characters and their honesty. And I liked the emotions that were brought to the page. From longing to happiness, I could feel them all, which added to my enjoyment of this feel-good story. less
