Sixteen-year-old Nadia must call on all the survival skills her military dad taught her in order to save herself and her brother after a plague strikes down a large portion of the population. Society is left in a state of chaos, and Nadia and her brother must journey across the country to find their last remaining relative who may not even be waiting for them. The novel also contains a touch of romance.
