review 1: God god god!!!!! That was an intense book. Read completely in one sitting because it was so fucking sweet and incredibly fucking intense!!!! Such an incredible story about a solid couple completely in love fighting for each other and what they love.I love that we saw them meeting as boys (their first kiss was so sweet and beautiful) and then go through college together and end up in the NBA. I loved how all the conflicts come from the outside world. They never questioned each others love and never consider breaking up (none of that noble shit of 'you'll be better off with the game if I let you go').I do think my heart needs a while to recuperate from the sad and intense situations these two had to go through.Also loved all the side characters!!!
review 2: This ... moreis my favorite book by far in any genre. The love between Xander and Christian is the kind of love we all wish for. While my heart broke for the things they had to do it made them human. This is one that I can reread and it never gets old! Love is a gift no matter if you're straight or gay. We all deserve someone who we see as a golden angel and who will see us as we truly are. That is what I take away from this story every time. less
