review 1: A sweet story with MCs and secondary characters that I really liked, however I find that I'm not totally liking the authors writing style (this is my second book of his). I'm not sure how to describe it other than simplistic? He writes a lot of secondary detail, in this case about the upkeep of horses and farming, but seems to forget depth to the characters and the main story. A nice story but feels lacking somehow. Oh and I really hate the Tiger pet name.
review 2: J'ai préféré l'opus précédent de la série Farm : Love Means Courage.Les personnages principaux de ce livre-ci sont moins attachants. On peut éprouver quelque sympathie pour Geoff et Eli, mais pas d'attachement comme pour Len et Cliff, je les trouve plus ternes que les parents de Geoff (c'est ... morevrai que Len a toujours eu ma préférence).Même si ce livre ce lit avec plaisir, il manque quelque chose... Dommage ! Mais on ne va pas trop "faire la fine bouche" car c'est bien écrit (Andrew Grey est bon écrivain qui sait faire passer des émotions) et l'histoire en elle-même est intéressante avec l'introduction de ce jeune Amish. less
