Young Sherlock Holmes
review 1: 14 yr old Sherlock Holmes realises that Amyus Crowe has some dark secrets. But he did not expect to find John Wilkes Booth, the person who assasinated Mr.Abraham Lincoln, apparently alive and well in England and to add onto that he he comes to the startling conclusion that they have to stop him. This book has taught me that when no one will tell me the truth, sometimes I will have to risk all to discover it for myself. And so,begins an adventure that will take Young Sherlock Holes across the Atlantic where his friend is in grave danger and the Southern Confederate Army threatens to rise again to create another Civil War.
review 2: When I found this book in the library, at first I didn't realize it was the second book, but I decided to read it anyways. I made a big
... more mistake. I thought it was intriguing in the beginning but it got way more boring along the way. They treat a teenage Sherlock as if he's five. He doesn't even think or act like the real Sherlock Holmes. I wasn't fond of Virginia Crowe either. She wasn't that much of help. All in all, this book was mostly filler. I guess I should have read the first book, I seriously doubt I would finish. I apologize, Mr. Lane, but this book was seriously boring after the first chapter or so. less
