review 1: Sheol was definitely interesting, and the growth in Corine was evident (along with everything else happening to her, kind of foretold since the beginning). This could have been a 3-star read. But the Shannon and Jesse pairing is plain creepy (he's a grown ass man and she's barely legal), and I won't even comment on the sight of a demon who looks like a mutant gargoyle fighting to the death a bunch of other scary demons while a woman's bag with a Chihuahua in it is dangling from his shoulder.Hence the 2-stars.
review 2: I enjoyed this roller coaster ride, mostly.Corine is trying to settle back in to her life in Mexico, and Chance has moved down there committed to starting their relationship anew without the issues that broke them up last time.However, when her b... moreest friend is kidnapped, Corine is off to Sheol to try to rescue her, and Chance is along to protect her. From there, things proceed as neither Corine or Chance could have predicted. less
