review 1: Knew it was going to be a good book about three pages in and I was up till 5 reading last night only to pick it up again and not put it down until I finished. Exceptional writing keeps the book entertaining, the pacing and characters couldn't be faulted. The only thing was the end the book was anti-climatic but even that was cool cause I was all geared up to read the next one. If you like the saracasm, wit, and self awareness that make Harry Dresden and Rachel Morgan books such great reads, you won't be disappointed with this one.
review 2: A very human, flawed heroine. A hunky but troublesome love interest that could or could not be only interested in her because of her abilities, and a new man in her life that may be too sensitive to be a love triangle in the
... more making.I liked how this book kept it all grounded while all magical hell broke loose and how the main chars had very simple and sort of small gifts considering what they were up against. I am already reading the sequel and enjoying how the journey has made them grow as characters. I can tell you, Corine has changed a loot from page 1 and I like it.She has flaws, she owns them, and she moves forward. Atta girl!! less
