review 1: Overall I really enjoyed my first true crime novel/ my first Ann Rule novel !I do find it hard to give reviews due to the subject matter. I found in some cases that there was too much detail into the aftermath of the case. Too much about the court proceedings. Yes i want to know what happened to the scumbags that committed these horrendous crimes but leave it at that. I found it to drag on...and very boring to read about all the court stuff.. when I would rather know more about the actual events. with so many unanswered questions I found I would prefer to have those answered then hear about all the court mumbo jumbo.All the cases were very scary but the one that affected me most was: A Road Trip To Murder.I think it will be a case that I will never forget.Throughout the wh... moreole book I found myself in a constant state of shock. I had no idea these awful things were happening so frequently in the world. I plan on reading every single book that Ann Rule wrote! I am looking forward to diving into all of her books.. She is very talented and I applaud her on all her hard work that goes into each of these books. A lot of research and also a lot of emotional times I'm sure. Thank you Ann for opening my eyes to a whole new way of thinking !
review 2: My Thoughts...Since I had never read anything written by Ann Rule I didn't know what to expect. Along with that this is a genre I very seldom read, but a few times a year I try to read something out of my "Comfort Reading Zone." AND this was one book I can say is definitely out of my 'comfort reading zone.'I'm on the fence as to what I think about this book. Having not read any other of her stories I have nothing to judge this one on. I know that I will never be reading another book by this author, but I'm sure their are many readers who enjoy reading Ms. Rules true crime stories.To be fair to the author, I only read the first crime story "The Baby Seller" so therefore, I will only be awarding it 2 "Waiting" stars. This book is a part of my personal library. less
