review 1: Brushing Off The Boss is book 2 in the Half Moon Bay series. It can be read as a standalone. Sienna sees all her dreams within her reach. An art gallery for sale. Her first exhibition. And it comes crashing down on her after the owner, Jack, decides not to sell and wants to pursue his own artists dreams. Sienna is a bold beautiful heroine, who seems to get knocked down at every corner. The chemistry between her and Jack is awesome, and not all about just screwing (although there is that ;) ). Loved the way Annie pulled all the characters together, and that I wasn't completely lost reading it (since I didn't read book 1). I highly suggest this to anyone looking for a sweet contemporary read.
review 2: I really enjoyed this story. It is a story of Sienna and Jack... more. Sienna is running an art gallery and is in the process of purchasing it. Jack is a friend of her friends husband. He and Sienna met a few years prior but the spark didn't amount to anything. Jack and Sienna are attracted to each other and then the bomb is dropped that Jack is the owner of the gallery that Sienna was trying to buy and that he is no longer selling it. The two have to compromise and end up living together. This is a great sweet read and is highly recommended. I loved how the author was able to make the characters relatable and realistic. less
