review 1: I've been wanting to read this because EPISTOLARY YAY! There aren't a lot in this genre so I'm hoarding all the ones I could find!I so felt for Jacob. So much. I totally understood about his feelings for the "ex"! And as for Mr.X, I was hoping for him from the beginning but then kept second guessing myself so when it was revealed, I was a bit shocked? Lol. I would definitely need to reread this! But definitely enjoyed reading this! :)
review 2: 3.4Was a four till about 80%. Granted I love epistolary romance and at this point the notes lessened, but there seemed to be a switch otherwise. The storytelling got schmaltzy, hurried and trope-y. Added to the effect, I know, it's because I wanted a different guy to be Mr. X. I think in the backlash against standard roma
... morence characters another standard love interest type is emerging. This choice of Mr. X plays to such.Anyway, quite aside from this, I smiled throughout...again mostly because I LOVE writing in romance. The notes were funny, sweet and revelatory. T'was a tight and good short story that kept me engaged....I also see a book 2 in the works for the ex. less
