review 1: I really liked the beginning. Great start. I only made it a few chapters in before my sis (who had just finished the third book) warned me of how things were going to end and I decided not to continue down that road. I simply did not want to have to go through tho books only to lose a character that was already becoming important to our protagonist.So, I liked what I read, overall, despite being somewhat confused, but did not finish. Still love the covers for these though.
review 2: I really liked this book and desperately want to read the rest of the series now. The reason it only get four stars is that it took me a long time to get into it. I think part of that is because of the omniscient pov that made it a bit difficult to keep of track of who was narrating... more which scene and until halfway through the book, I could not keep track of which character was which. Once I figured that all out, the entire book came together. less
