review 1: Charlotte ve Joe serinin ilk kitabından itibaren okuyucuyla beraberler. Charlotte Melekler Koyu’nun kadın doğum doktoru. Koyun şu anki ruhani lideri eski kötü çocuk Andrew ile lisede bir aşk yaşamış ancak Andrew kendisini aldatmış. Charlotte da onu aldatmak istemiş, hamile kalmış ancak bebeğini düşürmüş. O günden sonra da aşka kapılarını kapatmış. Joe ise lise aşkı Rachella evlenmiş ancak Melekler Koyu’na polis şefi olarak gelmesi ve diğer birtakım sorunlar yüzünden Rachel ile boşanmaya karar vermişler. Charlotte ise Joe ile yeniden sevebilmeyi öğrenmeye başlıyor.Çok uzun bir zamandır bu kitabı okumak için sabırsızlanıp duruyordum ve sonunda okuyabildim. Keşke biraz daha uzun olabilseydi. Joe’nin ailesini okuyabilmeyi ve Charlotte ile çocuklarının olup olmadığını öğrenebilmeyi isterdim. Bir de Charlotte’un düşen bebeğinin babası kim onu da çok merak ediyordum ama onu da öğrenemedik ne yazık ki. Yine de çok sevdim kitabı. Seri gerçekten çok hoşuma gitti. Bitirdiğimde arkadaşlarımdan ayrılıyor gibi hissettim kendimi. Umarım Epsilon Yayınevi devam eder bu seriye. Ben kesinlikle tavsiye ediyorum.----We have read about Joe and Charlotte since the first book of the series. Charlotte is an ob/gyn. In the past, she had a relationship with Angel’s Bay current reverend Andrew who was a bad boy in high school. However, he cheated on him and to take revenge, she slept with a guy and got pregnant. She miscarried and she could not love anyone after her painful loss. On the other hand, Joe is the police chief of Angel’s Bay. He had married his high school girl friend Rachel but since he came to Angel’s Bay without Rachel and they had some problems, they decided to divorce. There was a strong chemistry between Joe and Charlotte but in the previous books, they tried to ignore this chemistry because Joe was a married guy. In this book, after Joe’s divorce, they fell for each other. However, Joe has a competitor: Andrew. Moreover, in a New Year party, Charlotte became the prime suspect for the injury of Charlotte’s old enemy's, Pamela’s, sister and a burglary when she tried to get away from Joe and Andrew. Although Joe tried to keep his distance to protect Charlotte, he could not achieve it well. On the other hand, Charlotte started learning to love somebody again.I have been so curious and excited about this book for a long time. I wish it could be more pages. I wish I could read about Joe’s parents and learn whether Joe and Charlotte have babies. Also, I want to learn who the father of Charlotte’s baby was but we could not learn. Despite these things, I really loved this book! The series is amazing. When I finished Garden of Secrets, I felt like I lost some of my friends. I strongly recommend this series.
review 2: This book is the 5th in the "Angel's Bay" series, and while it works as a stand alone, I would recommend reading the others first as there is a lot of backstory that is nice to know. I didn't like it as much as the others. I felt the character of Charlotte, who is smart and savvy in the other books, acted fairly dumb in this book. And it was clear from the beginning who Charlotte was in love with, so the romantic triangle didn't work. I was really disappointed, as I had like her in the previous books and was eager to hear her story. less
