review 1: I loved this 6th installment of Barbara Freethy's Callaway Family series. This book focuses on the youngest Calloway, Shayla, who is doctor. I did not want to put this book down. It had the perfect mix of suspense, intrigue and romance. It might be my favorite, so far. I am so looking forward to the next book in which Eleanor Calloway's secret is finally revealed. I think these books would make a great tv series. It would be like Blood Bloods but with the San Francisco Fire Dept.
review 2: Another amazing Callaway story -- Shayla Callaway is the youngest of the Callaways. She is a doctor who was working in Columbia when the clinic she was working was raided by gunfire and several people were killed. She returned home to SanFran when her mentor and fr... moreiend Robert contacted her that he was in trouble and needed her to get a notebook to his brother Reid because he needed help. Shayla found Reid and he and Robert were not on good terms so to speak -- and Reid was injured in the Army and not doing much except being a bar fly. There was instant attraction/chemistry and Shayla convinced Reid to help Robert -- their story is about coming together to help someone out and finding each other. I really enjoy this series and this book was one of my most favorite!! less
