review 1: İyi ki başlamışım bu seriye. Üç kitap da birbirinden iyiydi. Önceki kitaba yaptığım yorumda da belirtmiştim yine belirtmek istiyorum. Serinin başarısı bence her karakterin özenle yazılmış olması. Bazı karakterlere yan karakter diyebilirsiniz okurken ancak onları bile o kadar merak ediyorsunuz ki! Örneğin Kara ve Colin, Charlotte ve Joe, Annie. Hepsi apayrı birer tat. Ayrıca yazar bu kitabın sonunda önceden okuduğumuz kadın karakterlerin ağzından kısa bir mektup yazmış. Bayıldım buna. Son iki kitabı da merakla okuyacağım. Özellikle de sonuncusunu!Kitaptan biraz bahsetmek istiyorum. Brianna'nın kocası Derek 5 yıl önce kasabanın ünlü, eski ressamının resimlerini çalmak ve güvenlik görevlisini yaralamak suçundan hapse girmi... moreş ve onu hapse gönderen de çok yakın arkadaşı polis Jason. Derek'in hapisten çıkamadan hayatını kaybetmesi üzerine kocasının masumiyetinden emin olan Brianna oğlunu da alıp Melekler Koyu'na geliyor. Ve elbette Derek'e ihanet eden (!) Jason'a düşman. Ancak Jason'ın babasının yeni sevgilisinin evcil hayvanlarını arada kontrol etmeye başlaması üzerine ikili birbirlerini sürekli görmekten kaçınamıyorlar çünkü Jason'ın babasının sevgilisinin evi Brianna'nın evinin tam yanı. Aynı zamanda Brianna'nın oğlu Lucas da Jason'a bayılıyor. Brianna ne kadar kendini uzak tutmaya çalışsa da pek başarılı olamıyor. Aynı zamanda kocasının masumiyetini ispatlamaya çalışırken kocasıyla ilgili birtakım gerçeklerle de yüzleşmek zorunda kalıyor.Colin iyileşme sürecinde ancak Kara'ya kök söktürüyor. Neyse ki düzeliyorlar.Annie'nin bebeğini evlat edinmek isteyen çiftlerin arasında bebeğin gerçek babasının da olduğunu öğreniyoruz.Rachel Joe'ya boşanma davası açıyor ancak Joe hala kararsız. Charlotte da Hem Andrew'nun hem de Joe'nun arasında kalmış durumda.Bakalım son iki kitapta neler olacak.Mutlaka başlayın bu seriye! :)----I am really glad to start Angel Bay’s Series. All three books I have read were really good! As I mentioned before in the reviews of first two books, again I have to say that the success of this series is about the care that Barbara Freethy takes while writing every character. You may think some characters have supporter roles but while you are reading, you cannot stop yourself wondering about them. For instance, Kara and Colin, Charlotte and Joe, Annie have some important parts. Each of them makes you curios. Moreover, at the end of the book there was a part where has some letters from previous characters. I loved it too much! I cannot wait to read last two books, especially the last one. I want to mention about what happens in this book. Brianna’s husband, Derek, was sent to the jail because he was accused of stealing some valuable paintings from the museum. He was sent to the prison by his cop friend, Jason. After the Derek’s death in the prison, his wife Brianna who is completely sure about his husband’s innocence went to Angel’s Bay with his son and of course Jason who betrayed (!) his friend is her enemy. However, they cannot prevent to see each other because Jason has to take care of his father’s girlfriend’s pets and this girlfriend’s house is near Brianna’s home. In addition, Brianna’s son, Lucas, adores Jason. Even though Brianna tries to ignore Jason, she cannot be successful. At the same time, while she is trying to prove her husband’s innocence, she becomes obligated to face some truths about her husband. Colin tries to heal and the healing process is really hard for Kara. Fortunately, they solved their problems.The biological father of Annie’s baby is one of people who want to adopt her children. However, the father has not been revealed yet. Rachel sued for divorce but Joe is still indecisive. I really wonder about what will happen in the next two books. You shpuld start this series!
review 2: This series just keeps getting better and better! Although I had my suspicions I wasn't 100% sure whodunit. Barbara Freethy is an excellent author - her stories draw the readers into the lives of the characters from start to finish and for a long time after you close the book. I enjoyed this book very much and thought the follow-uo messages written to readers from all the leading ladies of this series was a lovely touch. I immediately downloaded book 4 & 5 as soon as I finished reading this wonderful book. less
