review 1: I picked this up to read the short story by Charlaine Harris. I wasn't overly excited about it but I prefer to read every novel and short story in a series. I am rather annoyed by the love at first site that always seem to show up in these stories. Ms. Harris's was not too bad but some of the stories really got on my nerve, especially "Someone Else's Shadow." It often overshadowed the main story to the point of nausea.
review 2: This book is comprised of three supernatural novellas. I checked out this book from the library to read the Charlaine Harris story Dancers in the Dark. I enjoyed this story which did not feature Sookie Stackhouse, but did introduce the characters Sean and Layla who were later seen in a Sookie book. I decided to read the two other st... moreories in the book as well and I'm glad I did. Both were great stories and I have been introduced to two new authors I haven't read before, Maggie Shayne and Barbara Hambly. I will definitely be checking out other books by these authors. less
