review 1: I quite enjoyed this book. I did not know that it was a part of a serious until I was almost done. This book is #21. I can't wait to read the next installment. I am interested as to whether the new delegation will "conquer" the inhabitant of new earth or play nice. I also want to know how did the people on mars fare? Like I said, good book. it was my first time reading a Ben Bova piece. I will keep an eye out for book 22.
review 2: 4/2014 Although the story had some interesting ideas about space travel and intelligent life in the universe, this story had the worst characters I have encountered in ages. The story involved a group of twelve people (eleven scientists and one leader/diplomat) sent to explore an earth-like planet over 80 light years from Earth.
