review 1: "The Lucky Dog Matchmaking Service" was absolutely wonderful to read, especially after enjoying something a bit "heavier". Beth Kendrick combined excellent characters, some strong and dynamic and others weak with frailty of the spirit. I'm going to read any book with dogs as a centerpiece, but Kendrick's ability to weave in romance and family dysfunction was fabulous. Humorous, sometimes heartbreaking, this book is a sweet, breezy read that should be on more people's reading list.
review 2: Omigoodness! I LOVE this book! Even if I wasn't a dog person (which I am) I would still love this book. First of all, it's very well researched. The author has a great understanding of the behavior of a variety of breeds. And each character (human and canine) is unique an... mored interesting. And it's genuinely funny, without trying too hard. No over-the-top slapstick comedy of errors. Just clever humor. So glad I found Beth Kendrick. less
