review 1: Not my cup of tea. Even though I didn't realize this was the third book in a series, I'm of the opinion you should have enough of a clue of the storyline no matter what book you pick up first. I did not like the characters at all. Maggie was such a pushover. Rocky never asked her permission and she just gave in anyway. He decides after she gives birth that he's going to adopt her cubs - did not ask her. He decides that she is now moving in with him - did not ask her. He also decides that her next baby will be his child - really didn't ask her. He declares and she goes along with it. Not my idea of romance. I have a huge problem with "alpha male" meaning "I tell you want I want and you do it", no matter what genre. The characters were flat and the ending battle was practic... moreally non-existant.
review 2: This was a pretty good freebie. I loved the characters, story line and the paranormal aspect. There was some action, emotions, shifting, a steamy scene, and a great semi-ending. This sounds like a good series. I laughed a little, teared up some, smiled, held my breath, and got a little kung-fu action. I wouldn't mind reading this again. A great deal and fun to read. It pulled me in and kept me interested. I would definitely like to read more with these characters. Especially Slade. ;) Totally enjoy. less
