review 1: One of the most fast paced book I read.It was suppose to be dark but nah I didn't find it dark as such.Specially as I don't have any problem with bad boy assassin Hero,Jake aka Gator was quite awesome.The word Mine really works wonder when it comes to me giving Star and this book was filled with "Mine". Okay the female Gidget aka Mia was not okay but quite understandable why she was the way she was and the author justified her child like behavior in a very reasonable way.So kind of a fast pace short read with lots of MINE business.
review 2: I really can't gripe about anything regarding this book. If I absolutely had to list one con it would be that it was just too short! I wanted more Gator and Mia. It is amazing when an authors words can cause you to feel emp... moreathy for some unsavory characters who are effed up in every sense of the word. Sure, Gator is a hired killer with no conscience and Mia (aka. Gidget) was forced to be a childhood prostitute who suffered some brain damage from an evil John. When Gator is hired to take her out along with her pimp, he carries out half the job. Sparing her life due to a strong unexplained urge to "keep her" and make her "mine." Never having experienced love or felt love for another, they both learn to trust eachother; with Gator fighting his sexual urges to take her and Mia having faith that Gator will never hurt her or abandon her. Gator decides to take on one last job then he will retire.to paradise with Mia. In search of a true life that they each have never had but deserve. This story is gritty, raw, and just plain honest regardless of the surrounding circumstances. 5+++++ stars!!!!! less
