review 1: This was by far the best book in this series. It had action, love, and so much damn humor. I loved it. I chuckled throughout the entire book. The banter between Vaughn and Raven was extremely humorous. This book is about Raven and Vaughn. Raven was first introduced with her sister in Damaged and the Cobra. Raven falls for the wrong men and gets hurt - even when she knows they are not worth it. So she starts over, giving up on love and comes to an agreement with Vaughn to be friends with benefits and absolutely no love required. Raven is a tough chick, she does the roller derby and cage fights because that's all she knows but you'll experience another side of Raven once she interacts with Vaughn. Vaughn has his own demons and he really is a dead man walking. Vaughn has a con... moretract out on him by his prior motorcycle club because he didn't follow orders. Instead he saves a teenage girl named Harlow who was being kept and raped by this club. Vaughn saves the girl and kills some of the members of the club. So he doesn't want a relationship either because well he probably won't live long. But he makes this agreement with Raven and you see how their friends with benefits turns into something so much more. Both are afraid for different reasons. Vaughn isn't afraid to love but he is afraid to love and then die. Raven see's this relationship happening between them, sees their future but her past keeps creeping in and plays with her mind. You will see these two evolve and love. You'll see how the club has to make a decision to deal with Vaughn's problem and how those problems affect other players. I loved this book because the story was good, the love was passionate and it was friggin funny. Here are some quotes that I found to be funny but they are throughout the book between Vaughn and Raven:Raven says to Vaughn, "being dumb is easier when you're beautiful though". Vaughn says with a sigh, "don't I know it".Raven calls Vaughn an idiot. He says, “So are you. Man, our kids will be beautiful, but stupid.”There are so many simple yet funny lines between these two that you will stay entertained. I can't wait for the next book.
review 2: I made the mistake of starting to read this book while in public, the scenes with Vaughan and Bailey at the beginning were hilarious and set the tone for another lighter book, I was trying my best to stop laughing but I had to close my kindle in the end since people were looking at me like I was crazy. That said this is not a light book as such it's just not as heavy as Beast and Knight, like Cobra it contains a great mix of everything.Vaughan and Raven were always going to be a dynamic combination and I loved Vaughan from the previous books although I wasn't sure about Raven going into this book but she soon won me over.I have to say just how much I love Bailey, she now makes every book for me and this is huge because I didn't like her at all in Beast in fact I was really hoping that she wouldn't get her own book and now I can't wait till it comes out. The turning point for Bailey was Tawny, when she decided to make her a better person everything just clicked, she's so funny I just love her, everything about her she's hilarious, so now I'm waiting for Bailey and Nick to find there happy ending in Damaged and the Dragon.Bijou write quickly please. less
