review 1: The war starts and ends. It reminded be of Sgt Rock and a bunch of other war comics. There is a great piece on a wooden air ship that just rocks. Even though you know the outcome of the war, you are never quite sure who will survive. That what seems to drive this series forward is the bits that happen when you are immortal. Some fables die and never come back and others do. I want to see the mechanics behind this.
review 2: "Fables" is slated to end with issue #150 next year, so I was a little surprised that by this volume, mid-way through, we're already being treated to the giant, climactic battle between Fabletown and the Adversary. I'm not a little curious to see what happens next. The early end to this story arc feels rushed a bit, but the actual events the
... moremselves, no matter how choppy and distant, are a logical and entertaining way of rounding out a lot of character arcs. Some majors die, too! less

The ending was a bit anti climactic, but other than that, good.
