review 1: Brad Taylor is a good thriller writer. He has the right background in special ops and he does his research well. This book involved a number of characters representing various interests, and, frankly, it was a little hard to follow at times, especially if you read the book in spurts. It was tough to keep up with who was who, other than the protagonist and his crew. The dual (and dueling) bad guys were an interesting twist, but confusing. I believe Widow's Strike was a better book from the standpoint of readability.
review 2: Written for those who enjoy Alex Berenson's character Johns Wells, Lee Child's Jack Reacher, or Brad Thor's Scot Harvath. Pike Logan and Jennifer Cahill hunt terrorist in the Middle East. Action and intrigue, love and hate, life and death... more combine to make this book interesting and enjoyable on many emotional levels. The moral question at the books core: can those who hunt terrorists keep from becoming terrorists. less
