review 1: Simply badass. The Allomancy related super powers are a brilliant idea, as is the explanation, mechanics and use of them. Cinematic action was just so overwhelmingly fun!The characters and !epic! plot are interesting without being overwhelming and by the end, everyone grows in their own special way and it's beautiful. And it's so very grey. There's a distinctive "American" flavor underlying the whole book, but I don't think this is a minus. Maybe it was just me.I've got many favorite characters in this trilogy, so I'll just urge everyone to read it and pick their own.Sanderson is a master and there's no argument about that. I'm looking forward to reading the next Mistborn novels.
review 2: Wow. One of the best and most epic fantasy trilogies I've ever read. From
... morethe first page to the last, I was fully engrossed by this amazingly crafted tale.. the world and the characters living in it, the magic, the twists and turns, struggles with identity and faith -- all coalesced into a magnificient and truly memorable reading experience. This one will be hard to top. Endless kudos to Sanderson for being the master he is. less

Great series - not at all predictable, but not off the wall to avoid being unpredictable.
