review 1: This is a really interesting look into the writing processes of the Writing Excuses crew. It's one of my favorite podcasts, and they go out of their way to let us inside for the crafting of a short story each. I could see it being useful for new writers, but I think it's more likely to be helpful if you're listening to the podcast regularly (which is easy to do; it's weekly and runs 15-20 minutes).

However, what makes this book a great pick-up for writers is that the authors included their first drafts and brainstorming transcripts, along with some other behind the scenes goodies, that made it a very interesting look into the process of writing.
