review 1: Kelly is a married woman. She is also the First Lady. She has 2 kids and her husband is the pastor of a large church. Everything in Kelly's life seems to be going great until she let feeling for someone from her past interfere.Kelly has an affair but not just with an random man. The man is Chris, a church elder. A baby is the result of the affair and now Kelly has to deal with the fall out of it. This was the first book I've read by Brenda. I have to say the book was okay. No major shock value for me. Some parts were a little predictable. I will check out future work by Brenda.
review 2: This book was okay, but I liked the ending. This book tells about a woman who had an affair, which resulted in a child being born. The woman was a pastor's wife, and the othe... morer partner was an elder in the church. This book shows that everybody makes mistakes (even Christians), but consequences still result from our actions. I like that this book shows there is still hope for couples after adultery, but the road is long is hard. Forgiveness is possible, but just because you forgive doesn't mean you won't have twinges of hurt in the future - you just have to move past it. I feel like this would be a good book for people who have either cheated, or been cheated on because the book shows a lot of mentality on both sides. Other than that, I felt that the concept of the story was pretty realistic, but I wasn't thrilled with the editing (use of commas, misspelled words, etc.). less
