review 1: I noticed several friends having this on their Goodreads feed so I thought I would give it a shot. I really enjoyed it. A good story, utterly believable about growing up, growing apart, and trying to find what you want in life. A nod to staying true to yourself, never giving up, and being a true friend too. I will look for more from this author as I thought this book had all the things you want and no big flaws at all.
review 2: I loved this book! It's so heartbreakingly wonderful. I knew after reading what the book was about, I'd have some pissed off moments, but I was willing to give it a go. The main character Vi, has been in love with her childhood best friend Gabe since kindergarten. When he announces he's engaged to another woman, a woman who is nothi... moreng like Vi, her heart breaks. Vi tries to close off her feelings, and be there for her best friend, even when she knows who he's marrying is so wrong for him. In comes sexy Landon who Vi meets at a dance club. He seems perfect for Vi, but can she forget her love for Gabe? Gabe who has had years to be with Vi, and hasn't taken the chance. Gabe who is engaged to another woman. How the story works out, I really felt for Vi. Vi is a strong, wonderful character. Gabe's ignorance pisses me off. I just wanted him to wake the hell up! All in all, the feeling I had after reading this book was one of happiness. I'm glad it turned out the way it did. If you like charming romances, with great characters, read Keeping Secrets in Seattle. Brooke Moss built a wonderful world, and wonderful characters. I will be reading much more from Brooke Moss! This book is a definite read! less
