review 1: I downloaded and read these short stories in a reasonably short space of time. While not brilliantly written, they were entertaining enough for me to download the other three prequels and both of the full novels that follow it. There are some very good ideas within these books and there are flashes of truly inspired writing. They are however, let down by poor dialogue and overtly 'teeny' writing. I know teens can talk or process thoughts in this vernacular, but it's slightly jarring and ultimately serves to bring down the quality of the work. I am however enjoying the books, but they lose stars silly errors and lazy writing. These could be outstanding but they fall short. An enjoyable read which needs more work.
review 2: This definitely whets my appetite for m
... moreore. I would have to read the full length novel to say for sure whether this is an author worth following, and short stories are notorious for being anomolies compared to an authors regular body of work, but so far, I'm a fan after two prequels. Will keep reading to see if these are worth pining for! Can't wait for the first novel to come out, I hear it will be in April and I'm definitely anxious to see how it fares. less

Too much of hype, I didn't get much of a story out of it :/ but it did get me interested

Love the concept and direction this was going in, but it felt very... Unfinished.

Very short, but it held my attention enough for me to want to read the next one.
