review 1: This is the second book I have purchased for $1 at the Dollar Tree and after finishing reading it, I just shake my head and how the devil it ended up there. Arcadia Falls is a mystery interwove with a fairy tale of the Changeling Girl. It's very well written and it weaves a tale twisting and turning until you are quite surprised at the very ending of the book. Being an avid reader, it's very hard for me to find a book that surprises me at the end but Carol Goodman did it. Her attention to detail in describing the setting gave me a visual compass to imagine the story visually in my head. I would definitely read more of this author.
review 2: Too Many Plot TwistsI enjoyed the book but agree with what another reviewer stated - there's one too many plot twi
... morests at the very end that make it unbelievable. It goes for being entertaining and enjoyable to a bit unbelievable. Having every plot twist exposed in the last couple chapters of the book makes for a very bad ending. Overall the writing is good and the story is interesting, the author just takes it a step too far at the end and so you're left feeling a little deflated and with a "yeah, right..." sort of feeling -- not the way you want to walk away from a book. It's good but be prepared to feel a little cheated at the end. less

A quick read. I wish the characters had been a little more developed and likeable.

I enjoyed the basic plot, but the story moved very slowly.
