review 1: This was a very enjoyable book. The characters had a lot of depth and were very relatable. Their struggles seemed real. I also liked it because it was an innocent book (which is hard to find in Jr High books). There were no overly dramatic romance stories, cuss words, vapires, zombies, etc. I really appreciated that about the author. I also appreciated the Christian standpoint from which it was written. It wasnt written in a way that it wouldnt be enjoyable for people who arent Christians to read either. Youll also enjoy this book if youre a big time music lover as I am. I saw music notes on the cover and just thought, "Im reading that." :)
review 2: I have always like Cooney's books and I liked this one too! However as I was reading I enjoyed the sto
... morery but it was slower moving than many other YA books I have been reading. Then towards the end when the characters all started coming together and the moral of the story was put into place I felt like Wow! I am really glad I read this. It would be a great book for those kids who are headed down the wrong path because of the circumstances life throws at them, when in reality they would like to change paths but don't know how.Turned out to be a really nice read! less

An okay story about a girl trying to keep her family's songs away from those prying into her life.

I loved this book but I felt that it ended kind of abruptly.
