review 1: this book is amazing. ive never read a better book, its full of suspence, and romance. you wouldn't think an author could capture, so much real-world exposure like this book has. mary has lost her mother and her father to the unconsecrated, the only stories she has of her mother are the ones she used to tell about the ocean. she has been thrown away and forgotten by her brother and his new family. she has a choice to marry someone she doesn't love or turn to the sisters. mary makes a hard choice and does what most wouldn't, she goees to the sisters because she believes that true love does exist and she wants to find it. not long after she is there someone from her childhood is brought in... travis the man she has loved but not known until now her whole life. he is very sic... morek she stays by his side the whole time, but there is one problem her best friend is supposed to marry him in the summer. mary is lost in emotions and fear. little does she know the life she has known all along is about to come crashing down... the fences breach. all of her family and friends except harry, the man she was supposed to marry, travis the guy she is madly in love with, her bestfriend, and her brother are dead, gone to the never ending ocean of the dead. to find out what happens to her in the world outside the forest or to see if she ever does find the ocean PLEASE read this book.
review 2: I liked this book and the story line, but I did think that it started a bit slow. this is a book in a land overrun by zombies, so of course there is action. With that in mind, it gets long and drawn out during filler parts, it can seem like they aren't even part of the story at times. All in all, I did enjoy the book, but I would only recommend this book if you don't get bored with overly emotional characters. less
