review 1: There is never going to be a better series than The Mortal Instruments. It's better than any other novel I had read in my whole entire life! It really is such a phenomenal series I just couldn't elaborate to you enough. Clary, a stubborn 17 year old yet a very loving and caring person.Jace who sometimes could be very sacarstic but inside he is a softie... and then a warrior in the outside...lets say a Shawdowhunter. Simon, who would love Clary no matter what.
review 2: This is a great Young Adult Series. I read City of Bones in hardcover. The rest of the books I read on my kindle. The kindle made it so I could read while my husband needed to sleep. It also saved a lot of strain on my arms. Love reading on my kindle. Back to the series... It was a very interesti
... moreng story to read. Yes there is quite a bit of cheesy love going on with the main characters. They have heterosexual intimate scenes that increase as you read more books in the series. If reading about two guys or girls kissing and talking about their relationships bothers you, then the last half of the series may not be for you. Just putting that information out there for those I know that would be an issue for. As far as I've heard, if you liked Twilight then you'll love this. I did enjoy the story. The individual books do pick up where the last one left off. I liked that. I purposefully did not start reading The Mortal Instruments series till the last book came out. Then I flew through all the books. less

I have to be honest. I went into this series because I wanted to read them before The movie. I ended up reading The first four before The movie (thank goodness) and The last two after they came out. I fell in love with Cassandra's writing and with her characters. It's really hard to make a review on this book because I just want to tell you everything about it, but I'm not going to do that, so...Cassandra creates a beautiful world with gut wrenching moments, funny memorable moments, and heartwarming moments. There is not a moment of it that will make you regret picking it up. This shadowhunter world that she has created leaves you breathless and wanting more, even after The last book is finished. You'll love certain characters and hate others. You'll feel like you are there with them as The story unfolds, taking a little piece of your heart with it. Just pick up The entire series. Trust me...you'll want them all.

I am DEFENITLY in love with this series, I've read books 1-4 and I can't wait anymore to read the 5th. The plot is absolutely amazing. The characters are great. I give some real credit to Cassandra Clare. SPOILER ALERT----------- In City of Ashes and in City of Glass, and in City of Fallen Angels, I honestly wanted to explode and just burn something, the endings of all the books listed above are just amazing. I wanted to KILL Jace In the endings of the 2 and 3 book. And then in City of Fallen Angels, I wanted to cry. I had my mouth open for about 20 minutes. I really wanted to just hang Sebastian and kill him... If that were possible. But anyone is wondering about reading it, READ IT. Don't even ask yourself twice - It's an incredible series, and I cannot imagine you not being hooked on the series.
