review 1: For those saying these books are "not worth your time" or "awful and lame"..I dont know from where to begin, its hard to find such an amazing book serie, after I finished mortal instruments I have been struggling for over a year to find a serie as good as TMI. I know right now you're struggling with choosing which review to trust, but here are some reasons why I recommend TMI : -The author is amazing, cassandra clare can litteraly make you feel every heartbeat in the book, you feel as if you're Clary/jace, you feel their pain and their happiness, all thanks to a great author that understands what readers need. -its inspirational, full of love action and romance, yet it is not the cliché type full of drama and love triangles and so, one of the things I like abt it is that... more you can say "wow, its like it could happen to me any second" , NO SHINY VAMPIRES THAT GLITTER IN THE NIGHT..-you'll get OVERLYATTACHED. -just trust me :) I wouldn't miss out on the books of a lifetime. you may take my advise, and you may not. OH AND A HUGE REMARK TO THOSE WHO STARTED CITY OF BONES AND FOUND IT LAME... THE BOOK STARTS OUT BORING, COULDNT AGREE MORE.. JUST KEEP ON READING AND SEE IF YOU WON'T GET HOOKED ;)
review 2: I stumbled over these books after I saw the movie City of Bones, die hard Jamie Campbell Bower fan that I am. I hated the end of the movie and was happy when I was told there are more books. Devoured them, because I wanted to know what's coming. The characters are very lovely, but sometimes Miss Clare gets lost in passages that are just chores for her readers and by this destroys the tension she built up. This was rather frustrating for me. less
