review 1: Overall , it is a good book to read when getting a puppy. Some very simple rules about having a dog and every day interaction with dogs which every dog owner should know. Very little said about training techniques or how to behave with a dog in specific cases. Most of the book is a general description of the dog psychology and of the natural laws , which are repetitively mentioned almost in every page.
review 2: Getting ready for Ramona's arrival this week. She's a two-year-old Shih Tzu mix that I have adopted from a shelter. Cesar Millan is clearly the expert on doing this right. Can I do it? Can I be a pack leader? Can I implement the exercise, discipline, affection principles in the right order? I know I will be tempted to commit the cardinal sin of po... moreuring on the affection first. In fact, I am already guilty of that in our first encounters at the adoption event. Sigh. less
