review 1: This book was very encouraging in the work I am trying to embark on of no less than changing the world. Eisenstein sees the way that all struggles are connected, which is important. My biggest critique of the book is that he leans a little too heavily on his own terminology for my taste, "Story of Separation," "Interbeing," etc--These are big concepts, and I understand the need for a shorthand for them, but the effect just came across a little dogmatic to me. I also remain skeptical of some of the more metaphysical concepts he floats, but the nice thing is you don't really have to buy into those to get something out of the book. It works on a number of levels. I'm looking forward to reading his Sacred Economics as well--probably I should've read it first. I like the way th... moreis guy thinks though.
review 2: While Charles Eisenstein's view of the world is both beautiful and possible, it is (sadly) possible in the sense that all things are possible. The author's honest acknowledgment that the inevitability of the more beautiful world he envisions is just that, a vision, a hope, albeit a possible one, and not probable or certain. I'm completely on his side and admire his willingness to carry his message to whoever will listen. less
