review 1: This book was great. Chelsea Cain keeps getting better. You don't have to have read her first 2 books in the series to enjoy this, but I would suggest starting at the beginning of the series with Heartsick and then read Sweetheart to get a good feel for the characters in the story. I don't know what to say, Cain takes the story through enough twists and turns that she keeps you guessing until the end. If you are into mysteries that involve serial killers, I highly recommend this book. Not only does it have serial killers, but it gives you a glimpse of the weird cult status that the killers obtain and the people that glorify the killers. All I can say is that I can't wait to get my hands on the 4th installment of the series and start reading.

... moreg this one only three stars because some of the acts described were so horrific that it upset me. I've read all in the series and plan to read the next one but will have to see if it is a trend. I do enjoy the layers that these characters have and am glad that the story is not predictable like some I've read. I love the deciphering and digging so that is what keeps me coming back to the series. less
