review 1: We all make make big decisions through lives, and here's a "process" to help guide us through those decisions. Lots of case studies and stories to bring the process to life, and it isn't about following a formula but more about focusing on options that will steer us towards a good decision (implementation and assessment too). Some of the steps are obvious and most are common sense, but seeing the different elements in decision making process codified helps us avoid ignoring the obvious!
review 2: This book by the Heath Brothers was a great read. After some of the disastrous decisions that were made in the past decade, this book details common mistakes that people make like overconfidence, hubris and ignorance that dooms many of their decisions. It includes a
... more simple mnemonic "WRAP" that helps you to remember the 4 stages of testing your process: Widen your options, Reality test your assumptions, Attain distance before making the final decision, and Prepare to be wrong. less
