review 1: I really liked this story. Again, it has some similarities to other post-apocalyptic novels. There are definitely some differences in that the catastrophe occurred in a small area of Vermont, so the rest of the world continues as normal. Because of this aspect of the story, it also causes the novel to be about other issues such as homelessness, foster care, and mental illness. It is a super moving story and held my attention.
review 2: WOW. I listened to the audio book which, incidentally, was ready by the author's daughter. This was a gripping tale. May it only be a tale.
