review 1: I feel like I've just visited Italy! Bohjalian's descriptions were vivid and I felt like I was right inside the action. I'm not usually a fan of the back and forth time period pieces but this one was well done and kept me turning the pages. The only down side to the story is I wish I'd had just a little more of a hint to who the killer was. Not a bang over your head hint but one that was an "ah ha" that makes sense.
