review 1: Wow, this book was even better than I expected. The best Mooney book I have read so far. A gripping tale of secret religious cults and missing children that starts off with a bang and only lets up somewhat in the middle before moving non-stop towards a tension-filled finish that leads one to believe the story is not yet over and will be continued in later books. Well-written and suspenseful. Highly recommended.
review 2: It was ok. Crime thrillers are not my favourite type of novel, but it was a fairly fun read. The story was slow to pick up for me… not until about 100 pages in (or thereabouts) did I begin to feel any engagement to what was happening.
