review 1: I absolutely love this series! Definitely my favourite vampire genre series of all time. Sita is just the best heroine ever to be created! This book was as good as all the the previous instalments and no less confusing in the way of time travel & memories. I actually start to really like Matt in this book, before he just seriously annoyed the hell out of me, and aww Seymour just reminds me of Simon from the mortal instruments series, what's not to love? It ends on a totaly cliff hanger though which is confusing me so much because I've read that this is supposed to be the last book in the thirst series so unless Christopher Pike is releasing ANOTHER follow on series, this ending sucks, although granted it was a cool twist.
review 2: I am a huge fan of Christophe
... morer Pike and I have every book that he has written. When I discovered that he had continued the Last Vampire series I was excited!I devoured all 3 books very quickly. Here is my review for the last book and more or less the overall review of all Thirst 3-5.Pros:1. Alisa Perne is back, what more can I say? She's hot, powerful and immortal. 2. Seymour is one of my most favorite characters and I love watching the development of their friendship. He's like a brother she never had.3. The introduction of the Telar and Umara4. The final revelation of why Alisa kept getting tested.Cons:1. The girl on the cover chosen to portray Alisa is so wrong! It kinda of destroyed my visual portrayal of the super vampire.2. Teri was a little of non-character. I don't see much of a connection between her and Alisa, she left very early and having Alisa sleep with her boyfriend probably made it worse.3. Wished Matt felt more like a man than a boy. With his tantrums and temper, he acted more like a teenager than a creature who has lived through many lives. I don't really see the world experience in him. Kind of expected to stomp his feet through most of the disagreements. His love connection with Alisa also didn't feel real or deep. Their intimate scenes felt awkward.4. Repetitive ideas throughout the series. Alisa again lost her extra powers and gained it again. Alisa again died and met Krishna. Alisa again forgot something important. Alisa again trusted the wrong person. Alisa again went back to the time she was with Rama and Lalita. I'm not so sure if I look forward to the next installment if this is again the same choice she is facing.5. Too much Hinduism written in the books that it felt preachy. Overall I did enjoy the books but wished that it didn't repeat the same ideas. less
