review 1: The first book I was IN LOVE WITH! I thought it was beautifully written and very interesting, but the second book I thought the opposite. When they brought in the idea of the cult I became creeped out and no longer interested. I'm a 15 year old and the second book covers so very 'out there topics' so ultimately I would not recommend it to my friends because it just seemed too weird. If the books were separate I would immediately recommend it to all my friends.
review 2: This book took me by surprise with a whirlwind of mystery, intrigue, and the unknown. In depth and awesomely told, it shows some of the inner workings of terror, deception and paranoia. Read it in one sitting in less than 12 hours. I just could not bring myself to put it down. Each moment is dri... morepping with whatever mystery will present itself on the next page. An excellent read, I highly recommend. If Christopher Pike's other books are like this one I greatly look forward to reading the rest of his collection. Might even be a new favorite. less
