review 1: Definitely one of my most favourite series. Evil Thirst (book five) and Creatures of Forever (book six) are a mess of action, secret societies, time travel, the ancient cultures of India and Egypt, sci-fi and horror all rolled into one. Christopher Pike has always been one of my cherished authors simply because we both share the same fascinations with the unknown. Ps - For those that don't know Sita's adventures don't end after book six. There are three more novels Pike recently released named: The Eternal Dawn (2010), The Shadow of Death (2011) and The Sacred Veil (2013).
review 2: When I bought the first three books in this series, I was sure I was going to love them. I was wrong! They were horrible books. Simple as that. The writing wasn’t very good and th... moree characters were plain at best and boring at worst. There was no real emotion to this book. Alisa is a horrible main character. She dark and cold and has no real conscience. She kills to protect herself and doesn’t care who is hurt as long as she is safe and not in any danger. I couldn’t even bring myself to read this book after reading the first two. I skimmed this. I was even shocked with the ending..... In the end we discover that Alisa never cured Seymour of his demise because she DOESN’T EVEN EXIST. She’s a character in his mind that he created to help deal with his impending demise. He writes about her tale, but has never lived it with her. Yes, fine. It’s a good twist. One that I doubt a lot of people would see coming. But what the hell!?! It’s just weird. So horrible book, horrible series. I don’t recommend. It’s not worth anyones valuable time. less
