review 1: Okay... Breathe. I had to constantly remind myself to stop holding my breath. That there was still a few hundred pages left. And then I dreaded the ending to such a wonderful series - the final chapters to a beautiful romance set in an equally magical setting. I truly tried to eat breakfast and dinner. I just couldn't set down the book long enough to succeed. My entire week was like that, from the moment I picked up the first book. Any distraction was like an arrow to the heart. I loved the happy ending to the book and confusingly hated it in such a strong swirl of emotions. No it wasn't bad. I just didn't want it to end. I fell for Han Alister like most of the fan girls likely did. I wish it was me he had fallen for. Haha, but I knew I just couldn't have won him... more over like Raisa did. And surprisingly didn't resent her for it ;P The books were so refreshing. Raisa wasn't perfect. Sure, she had the attentions of every good looking guy in the queendom. But I could see why. She broke the mold for 'girly' royalty and main character. Thinking of breaking the mold. I love that Han wasn't the everyday dreamy prince. I love that he had to learn from his mistakes and wasn't the perfect dreamy prince straight out of the factory. A big plus for this series is that I didn't mind reading it in public. I'm not a nun or anything. I just felt happy, happy that they waited until marriage before getting into 'the sack'. That happens so far in between with most of the books out today that I really fell in love with the couple. The steamy scenes are heartpounding and really show how much they love each other. The fact that Han wanted to wait to win her over completely (excuse my fan girl language) was just so like OMG! I LOVE YOU MORE HAN!!!!Let me just say one more thing. I love Cinda Williams Chima and I love The Seven Realms. I can't wait to start the Heir series. From what I have experienced so far, Cinda Williams Chima is a genius. Anything she writes is pure gold.
review 2: 4.5/5 which is I really like it, and would recommend it, but then, you gotta bear through the previous books first cos you won't really get the plot otherwise. Unlike Book 2, which took me 1 year to finish, or Book 3, maybe a week, book 4 took me only a day to finish. I found the plot tighter, the writing less of describing journeys and more of actions and interactions. No more scenic descriptions of what happened on the way to somewhere that plagued(imo anyway) the previous books. Oh, I'm sure they do serve some purpose, but I rather found them pretty putting off. The book covers several main plots aside from "Raisa's love life" and "Han's angst" , a couple of which came from the previous books, and I think ended things quite nicely. By the end of the series, I was thinking "Hey, what happened to the other 4 kingdoms?" Yes, I want MORE. Namely:1. Will mellony stop crushing on Micah?2. Will Micah spirit away Raisa (successfully) ? 3. Who will be the successor to the Demonai?4. Will the other kingdoms be conquered? Will they ever reunite? less

I enjoyed the ending. Too many people dying, though.
