review 1: I loved this book. When I read the synopsis I thought it would be a light, sexy read but it was so much more than that. It was funny, I will never again watch a game show host without thinking "what an orange gobshite". It was sad, so sad I was choked up many times but at no time did it feel contrived or manipulative, the sadness seemed to come to the story in a very natural way, not angsty and very sincere. It was HOT my god was it HOT, Claire was very sensual which only helped to create a complex main character because she was also very shy and reserved. I loved the male characters in this book, they were both very nice men and this was refreshing and real, it really created a sense of suspense and I was concerned that it would get messy and angsty like many NA books... more but the author resolved it beautifully and I was left feeling very satisfied.
review 2: I absolutely LOVE this book. at first after reading the synopsis and looking at the cover (especially after that) I thought that this would be just another novel that just depends too much on the erotic scenes, but something in me told me to give it a try, and boy am I glad that I did (you've done well gut feeling). I am a total sucker for this kind of book, it has just the right amount of funny, cute, sweet (there're some grin-inducing, heart-melting moments), and even some genuinely sad parts (I honestly didn't see that coming). of course it didn't hurt to also got the sexy parts down nicely. I found myself falling deeper in love with the characters and I love that it has the happy ending that I wanted, I don't even care if it's totally cliche for some people, but I'll be furious if it turned out differently. in the end, I'm just happy that I gave this book a try, it's really entertaining and not just some time-wasting reading material, and this book didn't let me down from the very beginning to the end. I definitely am gonna try another book from this author soon. less
