review 1: I am always hunting for Christian Fiction that is well written, and I am at a loss at why such a favored author hit such a sour note from me. I did not feel that the characters were well developed, I did not feel that the storyline was as developed as it should be, and she may need a different editor. I did not read Tidewater Inn first, but I had no problems with who is who and what is what. I read the introduction before selecting this title, and the intro hooked me. I left the intro, and the story fell.
review 2: This is a new author for me and I found it to be a nice, comfortable and easy read. While there'e a mysterious death(s) as the general plot line, the author gives ample page time to location and character development. There were some outsider,
... morecardboard cutout types that were marginally involved, but they didn't detract from the story and were used mainly as a red herring plot device and to give texture to the main characters and victim(s). I don't think this book will keep you up at night compelled or finish it, nor give you nightmares, but it will relax you. And sometimes that's exactly what's needed. This is the second book in a series by this author. I liked this enough that I'm going to work backwards and read the first book. Ms. Coble has anohter fan. less
